The majority of Gen Z shoppers prefer to buy sustainable brands, and most are willing to spend more money purchasing sustainable products because these are more important than brand names”, the study yielded. In other words, the majority of Millennials and Gen Z shoppers are more willing to support small businesses if it means purchasing sustainable products that bring positive change to our planet Earth. And this is exactly why I created Nancy Dianne candles because the world deserves to elevate their candle experience in a non-toxic environment that is safe to burn around our loved ones and companions.
What are Clean Scents?
At Nancy Dianne, we place the highest standards when choosing the fragrance oils to use when crafting our luxurious candles. For this reason, we use 100% phthalate-free and exclude materials with similar health concerns outlined in California’s Prop 65. Materials known to be carcinogens in California aren’t any safer elsewhere! As a matter of fact, both the U.S.A. and Europe have imposed laws against phthalates in children’s goods, but there are no rules against phthalates in candle making at the moment. For this reason, Nancy Dianne uses Clean Scents only!
Why use wooden wicks?
The majority of candles are made with cotton wicks. But, did you know that certain cotton wicks contain traces of metal–especially lead. When lead vaporizes into the air, it gets inhaled into your lungs. According to the United States Environmental Protection Agency Research and Development, “upwards of 40% of candles have cotton wicks with lead in them.” The U.S. Centers for Disease Control states that, “exposure to high amounts of lead has been linked to learning disabilities, hormone disruption, mental retardation, neurobehavioral changes, depression, irritability, aggressive behavior, difficulty concentrating, and even death.”
Nancy Dianne has chosen to use eco-friendly, clean-burning, wooden wicks hand-crafted and made in the USA. Furthermore, these wooden wicks are sustainably farmed and sourced from Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified mills. As a result, Nancy Dianne eco-friendly candles do not leave traces of metal harming your loved ones and companions. In fact, wooden wicks achieve a fast melt pool for an excellent hot throw and have no soot. Lastly, our crackling wooden wick candles produce a relaxing ambiance very similar to a fireplace and provide a beautiful horizontal frame shape.
Did you know virgin coconut soy wax is biodegradable?

Nancy Dianne’s candles are hand-poured with vegan, gluten-free, non-toxic, paraben-free, phthalate-free, and skin-safe wax. Moreover, virgin coconut soy wax is clean burning, biodegradable and natural. Lastly, it easily holds up to 12% fragrance load which provides an amazing hot and cold throw.
Unlike other paraffin waxes used in common candle making, virgin coconut soy wax does not leave black soot on your candle vessel and is not emitted into the air, hurting your lungs. Thus, virgin coconut soy wax does not contain harmful carcinogens that paraffin wax candles do when burning. When you burn a Nancy Dianne candle, you can rest assured that you and your loved ones are breathing in clean air, not second hand toxic smoke. Additionally, virgin coconut soy wax burns at a lower melting point compared to other paraffin waxes, which means that the life of the candle can last up to 40% longer than traditional paraffin waxes!
